Jeff Whittle awarded Order of Australia

Whittle Consulting is proud to announce that its founder, Jeff Whittle, has been recognised in the Australia Day Honours for 2018. Jeff has been named an Officer (AO) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for:

“Distinguished service to the information technology sector and the mining industry, particularly through the development of industry standard computer programs for strategic mine planning and optimisation.”

This honour follows a lifetime of sustained achievement from Jeff Whittle. Over the past 38 years, Jeff has pioneered a new industry, creating and developing global mine optimisation programs. His computer software has revolutionised the Australian and international mining communities in mine design, strategic mine planning, and most specifically, the ability to optimise the economic value of mine sites around the world. Following his development of the well-known Whittle Four-D & Whittle Four-X software in the 1990’s, his more recent Prober software has become a trusted benchmark for Enterprise Optimisation in the mining industry. This has delivered lasting and quantifiable economic, environmental, commercial and societal benefits.
