In this 3-minute VIDEO, 6 senior mining executives – who were delegates at a Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning Seminar, are asked the same 4 questions. What did you like most about the seminar?; What was the most significant thing that you learnt?; How can you adopt Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning more widely?; and, What was your overall experience?
Without exception, all the delegates were overwhelmingly positive about the value of attending the Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning seminar. Outcomes such as learning about simultaneous mining optimisation and the importance of gaining an understanding of the Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning approach were verbalised.
The importance of NPV (Net Present Value) and appreciating the impact that NPV has on mining profitability was the take-home message for some. Others appreciated the ability to be able to attend the seminar as a business group, and saw significant value in developing together a team view on Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning. Learning how to drive change through their mining organisation and understanding how to grow the profitability of their mining business, was another important outcome.
All participants left the seminar aware that all levels of mining; from juniors, mid-tiers and top-tier mining organisations can benefit from the Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning approach. Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the experiences shared by the seminar facilitator, Gerald Whittle – the CEO of Whittle Consulting. The delegates also appreciated the benefits of the interactive nature of the seminar and being able to share experiences and learn from the other seminar delegates in attendance.
As participants concluded “The whole Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning process has been quite revolutionary.” And, “It is really going to transform the way we look at mining problems.”
