Gerald explains the recommended approach and the sequence of events which establish our working relationship. These involve 3 distinct phases, including:

1. INTRODUCTION - Introductory Webinar or Executive Presentation
This 45-minute online webinar, or (by arrangement) individual Executive Presentation, provides a valuable conceptual overview of the counter-intuitive Whittle Consulting methodology.

2. EDUCATION - Integrated Strategic Planning Seminar
As our showcase presentation, this 4-day online interactive seminar, takes the Whittle concepts further. An explanation of the background to and application of the key concepts behind the Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning approach is delivered and discussed with seminar participants.

3. APPLICATION

Strategic Assessment (SA)
The next step is a Strategic Assessment. Conducted over 2-3 weeks, information from your mining operation is reviewed, determining the bottleneck in the system. A review of current planning practice, in comparison with best practice, reveals an estimate of the benefit to be derived from the conduct of a full Whittle Enterprise Optimisation.

Operational Assessment (SA)
An Operational Assessment is commonly conducted in conjunction with a Strategic Assessment. Quick gains are achieved by reviewing operations from a Tactical Theory of Constraints viewpoint, and the immediate execution of activities in or around the active bottleneck.

Activity Based Costings (ABC)
Held over 2-3 weeks, Activity Based Costing results in a more detailed and responsive cost model. This more accurately reflects the cause-and-effect relationship, between the objects that build the life-of-mine plan, and the cost of activities involved in achieving those.

Enterprise Optimisation (EO)
Armed with the information gained from the Strategic Assessment and other studies, a full Whittle Enterprise Optimisation can then be performed. Conducted over 3-4 months, it involves comprehensive optimisation modelling and analysis. The life-of-mine plan is rebuilt from the block model up – on a dollars per bottleneck unit basis. This creates substantially more value for all stakeholders, increasing NPV by 5%-35% - and often substantially more.
